Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver/guide and our representative. You’ll then be transferred to the charming Rivertrees Country Inn, located on the banks of the Usa River amidst a serene former German coffee estate. The lodge offers stunning views of Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro. Alternatively, you can stay at Lake Duluti Lodge near Lake Duluti. That evening, our safari manager will meet you to provide a comprehensive briefing about your safari and Zanzibar combination.
Dinner included
Note: If you arrive at an airport other than Kilimanjaro, we can arrange a connecting flight to Arusha (at an additional cost). Transfers from Nairobi via road in private or shared vehicles are also possible.
Your adventure begins with a journey to Tarangire, the third-largest national park in northern Tanzania, known for its impressive elephant population and ancient baobab trees. Wildlife concentrates along the Tarangire River, the park’s main water source, where you may encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, and diverse birdlife.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Famous for its stunning scenery, this park is home to elephants, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and more.
Today, you’ll explore the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, often called one of the wonders of the natural world. As the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, it is a sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest wildlife populations, including rare black rhinos. With its 2,000-foot-high walls, the crater offers excellent chances to spot the “Big Five” and other species during a single game drive.
After breakfast, head to Serengeti National Park. Enjoy a picnic lunch atop a kopje (rock outcrop) before continuing into the heart of the Serengeti. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before settling into Mapito Tented Camp in Northern Serengeti.
All meals included
Experience a morning game drive to catch predators returning from hunts and animals beginning their day. Spend the rest of the day exploring the Serengeti’s vast landscapes, teeming with wildlife such as wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, and countless bird species. Your guide will use their expertise to locate elusive wildlife.
Fly from the Serengeti to Zanzibar, with a brief stop in Arusha. Upon arrival, transfer to the boutique beachfront hotel, The Zanzibari. Upgrades to a 5-star hotel are available upon request.
Unwind on Zanzibar’s pristine beaches. Enjoy optional water activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and boat trips, or simply relax in your seaside retreat.
